Impact Youth Group
Impact youth group is a fun way for teens 6-12 grade to spend Wednesday night. We have a place all our own called the Youth House at the corner of 7th and F St. The doors are open at 6pm every Wednesday and usually get things kicked off at 6:30 and go till about 8:00. We like to turn the music up and play games and have fun just enjoying friends. You never know what to expect as we sometimes do games of skill, memory or simply silly gross games. Like what you ask?
Ever played the “trash can” game? (Its one of our favorites.) How far can you shoot a miniature marshmallow out of your nose? How about the “blender game”? The game of “Mafia”? Even the game of “I’ve never” can be a blast. Ever broke an egg on your friends head? If the answer is no to any of these questions you are missing out on a good time.
Ok, the games can be a lot of fun and once in a while a little messy. But that’s not all we do. We always take some time and worship God by song and dance. Sometimes our band plays, sometimes it’s CD’s or sometimes videos but it’s always good Christian rock songs. We like to sing and dance along.
We also take a few minutes to deepen our faith by exploring God’s Word, watching videos, or talking about our beliefs. Life as a teen is not easy. Our conversations are open and honest and we talk about relevant topics in your life.
Every year Impact takes two weekend trips to Denver that should not be missed. Acquire The Fire is in the Spring and has several speakers and National Christian Rock concerts. Dare to Share is in the fall and I guarantee that everyone who attends has a great time. Both of these trips will deepen your faith and let you see God in a life changing way.

9:00 pm - Father God, may every tongue confess and every knee bow down before you. Thank you for how you have blessed my life. I am so excited for our upcoming trip with our youth group to Dare2Share. Thank you oh God for the prayers and support of our church. I do not yet know of the blessings that will unfold before my eyes but I believe you will change hearts this weekend. Use me God and let me serve you in any way you see fit. In Jesus name, Amen.

6:00 pm - I know God that you must have great things planned for tonight because Satin is working so hard to put road blocks in our path. Thank you God that you helped us to overcome the hurdles that were put before us. This only convinces me further that you have big plans for us and Satin wants to interfere. God we walk in faith and I pray for your protection and guidance.
11:30 pm - Wow! Oh Lord! I witnessed some amazing things tonight. I worshiped with 10,000 teenagers who desperately called out for you. I watched a play about a girl who listens to the lies that Satin spreads. The play showed the truth how Jesus will lead us away from sin and self-destruction and toward your love and life filled with joy. I heard a powerful message that was inspired by you, the Great Creator that ended with a call to trust in Jesus Christ. I saw how your spirit touched teens in our youth group. Two sobbing boys shared with me how they loved God dearly and wanted to do more for the kingdom of God. I watched you, God, as you broke a young girl’s heart and completely filled it with your love and spirit. We both wept with joy, as she truly trusted in Jesus for the first time. We hugged each other and I reassured her that you, God, love her dearly. Later that evening a young man said that he never truly believed until now. We had a chance to have a long talk once we got back to the hotel. Thank you God for giving me the words to share your love with these five teens.

6:30 am – Oh Lord give me patience. Getting a teenage group up and going in unison at 6:00 am requires Godly power. Thank you God for Vickie and Cindy! After 4 ½ hours of sleep, a cup of really bad hotel coffee and a half frozen bagel with cream cheese I am reminded by Vickie that she witnessed another young man and young lady from our group who accepted Christ for the first time. We both shared with each other of how we saw God working in our youth group. Thank you Lord. My breakfast seams quite trivial now.
9:30 am - Lord, God, how I thank you for the message that was given to the youth leaders who attended the conference. You spoke through Gregg Stier and stoked the fire we have for you and deepened our commitment to the youth Group. We are filled with inspiration, motivation and information to press on in your name. Great is your name!
1:00 pm - We ended the morning conference with needed tools to share our faith and the love of Jesus. We left the Pepsi Center after worship and the final song had everyone singing “How Great Thou Art”. God you are amazing and I pray for you to open the hearts and minds of the houses in the Denver area that we will be evangelizing to. Lord, please keep us safe and give us the words to say to further your Holy name. Amen.
7:00 pm - Oh God, how great you are. Our youth group shares with each other in the successes of our evangelism effort and laughs at the failures and things that happened along the way. Thank you God for being with us today. Mighty is my God. Amen.
10:00 pm - Lord God, my cup runneth over with your blessings today. The conference received over 15 tons of canned food donations for the Denver Rescue Mission. Our youth group has been reinspired to help Uwanziga the 11-year-old girl in Rwanda that we sponsor through compassion international. We were taught how to share our faith and to help lead others to Christ. We were taught how to really pray with our hearts. You knocked at the hearts of thousands of teens and adults today. Thousands let you in. We ended the night worshiping you, God. It was truly a celebration of what was given to us this weekend. Yes it was loud! Yes we were dancing for you! How we worship in you oh God! May our love continue to strengthen in you! Use our youth group oh God to set ablaze the hearts of our church, our family and our community. Thank you God for being with us every day of our lives. Thank you God for a caring church that allows us to attend this event. Thank you God for the seven teens who accepted you or were moved to publicly recommit to you! Lord I pray that the fire and intensity that our youth group has does not dwindle but is intensified. Oh God my cup runneth over!
Thank you, Lord! Thank you!
